BEP Advisors provided environmental advisory services for the TRECSA project, which includes an 853 km high-voltage transmission line, 12 new substations, and the expansion of 12 existing substations as part of the Guatemala Transmission System Expansion Plan (“PET”) 2008-2018. The services included capacity building for TRECSA personnel, development of the Critical Habitat Identification Study, completion of the Cumulative Impact Assessment, and preparation of the Biodiversity Monitoring and Management Plan (BMMP) for the transmission line. The work progressed with support and close coordination with Citi and Export Development Canada (EDC).
